The Icelandic Gyr Falcon is mainly coloured dark grey, white and black, but it is often merged with other sub species. The only true Icelandic Gyr Falcons now are actually found in UK breeding establishments.
In general they have a wingspan of between 41 to 52 inches (105-135 cm) and the females tend to be slightly larger than the males.
